Laura De Benedetti ceramics

I make functional ceramics as a fulfilment of a childhood desire of making tings with my hands.
The fluidity of porcelain spiralling between my fingers allows a shape to appear reflecting my inner emotions and deeper thoughts. I use the chemistry of multi-coloured layered glazes and very high temperatures to create the exciting individuality of the finished products.
The tactile objects carry my memory of landscapes of my birthplace in Northern Italy and I hope they can be used in everyday life and in family celebrations.
